I would have sworn I beat Greg...

Nice showing guys!

Greg was sitting at the top of the last climb right before the tent waiting for us. He said that you did get by him when he was swimming, but returned the favor later.

That was swimming? I thought he was trying to be an ostrich with his head in the mud. I hope he's a little better at riding a bike than swimming. I guess I have no room to talk since he beat me to the finish line.
That was another one of my take aways from the race: figure out what guys are wearing in my class so I know if I need to try and stay ahead or pass them...

Passing, what's that?!!

That's when you don't feel that great in your mid section. You know, you have a little gas bubble and it needs to get out? That's passing.

Im racing singlespeed at swanson, that way I wont have my back as an excuse for how I finished. It is the bike, I went out riding today for a couple hours, and my back is fine now.

note: I was on my single speed today. So you see I do need a new bike.

Glad you guys had memorable experiences!

Maybe we can get Greg to ride his ss at Swanson too? buconine rode a ss in all his Beginner races last year. Biker Bob did the same in Sport 35+. Josh did in all but one Sport Open. Brian is riding Sport Open this year on his ss. I think Maskenthine, Swanson, Tranquility, Branched Oak, and Manawa are the most ss friendly, climbing-wise, in the series. But some of the rougher courses require standing or sitting lightly on the saddle on non-hills as well.
