no time, less motivation

I haven't been on the bike since our Wednesday Swanson ride. I guess I'm a little depressed that I won't be racing with you guys come Saturday. There is some rain in the forecast so its anyones guess as to if you'll be racing.

Divide and conquer is the theme tonight. I'm home with the baby, while mom is with the daughter at swim lessons. It will be dark before I have any time. I think I'll make friends with the Treadmill and watch the AVS beat the RedWings tonight.

that's how to avoid the bummer life!

You could always have a cold one and watch the game. I hope the race is on, you never know about the weather around here.

I have spent very little time on my bike since our last ride at Swanson. I bet I haven't rode more than 15 miles since then. My motivation went out the window after the wife called me obsessive compulsive...

I think the weather for the race is so iffy, that 50% is all the chance I give it at this point. All week they have been saying rain for Thursday - Saturday. Now it looks like maybe just Friday and Saturday. Still, not a great race day forecast.

Keep your chin up RG, maybe we can get a ride in soon. Do you guys plan on doing the marathon race at Swanson? It's a Sunday race. Ryan got me excited about the trails after he spent last week up there.

It would be both bad and good if it got rained out... only time will tell, I'd love to race there!

As for Platte, we are at this point planning on riding out there during the Marathon. I've only ridden it once (last fall when we stayed out there over the weekend. - good singletrack!-)

Greg and I have discussed teaming up. I don't intend to win it, just ride 3 or 4 laps and call it a day. Maybe TEAM GIBSON(with dmars) will be in full effect come race day.

No way I can win, place or show on a marathon race. I just want to go out and ride. My wife has given me OK to be gone for the race that day and I want to make the most of it.
I read the race bible for the marathon event and it's not specific for how many team memebers you can have. All it said was it emphasises participation and completion over competition, and expert and above are to race solo. I know Ryan wants to race too, so collectivly we may have plenty of people to team up with. Dave, are you planning on riding it too? You don't want to miss out on post race activities.

not sure if I will race the marathon. I want to, but the race being on a Sunday may throw a wrench into things. I have only ridden out there once (Platte river), but the trails are alot of fun.

Guys, some times it is good to take a little break from training, and then hit it twice as hard when you are able to train.

GO STARS!

I'm not sure if your AVS can do it.

Redbone.

OUCH. My NHL season is over!

I just hope my Stars can finish off the Sharks in game 5.

Omaha Lancers are still playing?

Yep. Won't Dallas Play Detroit if they win?

I think Detroit looks unstoppable!

No one thought we could beat the ducks or sharks (I know it’s not over yet) but our luck might just run out when we play Detroit. Still I can't complain, I didn't think they'd make it this far especially after the way they ended the season. Anyway I hope we can win tonight.

Looks like were racing on Sunday. Are you still racing?
