Just found out, it is only going to be 1 lap for the cat 3 L and C race. I am doing the Marathons from now on this year, and maybe moving up next year.

No racing for me this weekend. The ol' ticker is causing me issues after the last race. Also, the bike has a fairly large issue and is in the shop right now. You know it's big if I can't fix it.
I'm not sure about the rest of the years racing schedule. The race on June 13th is out for me. At least 1 race in July is out for me too. This may be a year where I regroup for next season.

Keep it real DMARS. The skinny tires will be rolling in your honor!

Nothing serious with the ticker, at least that is what they tell me. Still trying to figure out what happened on the first rae day, I haven't been the same since then.
My new bike is on the way. My wife loves me! :)

Good luck with the marathon this weekend, I'm not going to be driving up for the fun.

The frame had a defect with it near the bottom bracket where the non-drive side chain stay pivot was connected. Specialized is replacing the frame after seeing a picture of the area. The sad part is, they don't have the same frame available for me any more. My frame was the 25th aniversary Stumpjumper, and there were a limited number made. So, they offered me an 07 frame which looks the same as mine, but had some functional changes, but the color scheme was not what I wanted. The next solotion we came up with was for me to get the latest and greatest, but I would have to buy a few parts to make the transition work. So, I'm getting an 09 S-works carbon Stumpjumper frame as my replacment. I have to buy the new fork to fit the frame as mine will not work. I also had to buy a new front derailure, a new headset, and new brakes as the old calipers won't fit on the new fork.

So, if anyone needs a 06 Fox TALAS suspension fork, a Cane Creek 1 1/8th threadless head set, an XTR bottom pull 34.9mm front der or a set of front and rear XTR disc brakes, I have some to sell.

Wow that suxs! But the bright side is that you get a new bike, new bikes are always fun!

Yeah, I'm stoked about the new ride, but the money is an issue. At first it was only suppose to be this much...now, please add 50% to that estimate. Good thing I don't have any other hobbies. The bike is built up, I'm just waiting on the brakes to get here.
