Good times, bro's, buddies, beers, bikes and dmars.... a blog about cycling in and around Omaha, NE.
sweet! What's a red ale that I've had? hmmm?Killian's Irish Red I think.
Don't forget the Leinenkugel's, that's a red, too!We just finished my last batch which was a honey cherry wheat. It was pretty good, but not as "cherryish" as I would've liked. It was 6.5% ABV though!I've been trying to decide what to brew next myself. Maybe a lager...?
Honey cherry wheat sounds interesting and good. I would love to brew a lager sometime, haven't tried it yet.
Just curious...why a month? It should only take a week to ferment and a week to carbonate, shouldn't it?Depending on the alcohol content, I've had some stop fermenting in 5 days or so and be ready for bottling...
I like to do 2 stage fermenting. One week for primary and one week for secondary, then transfer to bottles to carbonate for 2 weeks. To me the beer gets better with age.
