I am refreshed, rode over to tranq today with dmars and it is 90% rideable. I am so happy to be on dirt again. The north side of the creek was the only soft spot, we walked out of that area.

It was a good ride. 32x18 was a little steep for the first single speed ride of the year. We saw Dale on the way back home, he was sporting some shiny new scars from his trip to utah.
I am offically jealous!
I was home taking care of the kiddies as my bride was at a work function. I'm afraid I may be lost in the woods in Norfork - I don't recall riding any single track since Jan.
note to self:
I guess I need to buy a 29er SS. Team Gibson's team ride can be a 29er SS.
Hmmm how do I get another bike?
You can win one at Stanton... othewise, beg, buy or steal. I'm not sure what is wrong with me, I don't want more than one bike right now.
Dave and Greg, do you guys always ride 29ss; even in races? Glad you got out on the trail like I did. Sounds like your trails are in the same shape as mine.
Rob,
As of now, the boys don't race SS, they still use their 26" geared.
Maybe SS this year boys?
Actually Rob, I raced my ss in 3 races last year, Manawa, Swanson, and the manawa marathon. I think im faster on the ss than my geared bike if the course is moderately flat. Even if im not faster, I enjoy riding the ss more.
