old dog, new trick...

Taught my dog a new trick, I guess you could call this mushing. Whatever it is scout loves it. He is fast, I clocked him at 25 mph (Downhill)by my bike cpu. This should come in handy on my 4 th or 5 th lap of the marathons this year.

Nice pic. It looks like Scout is going to take off after a rabbit and give you a good ride.

That looks like more fun than the dogs chasing us on gravel!

Super cool!. I should ride with my 12 yr old dog. That is about my pace!

25mph is fast with that short a lead. I take Ginger on a retractable lead and ride one handed. She's goes to the side for rabbits or passing another dog, the static lead doesn't work for us.

Thanks for the example. I need to get Ginger and myself out pedaling around the neighborhood again.

I usually just hold the leash in my hand, and if I have to I just drop the it. Scout is good about just running along beside me though. A word of warning do not, I repeat do not attach the leash to your handle bar. I tried that with both dogs the first time, and they went left, the handle bar turned left (a sharp left), And I went straight OTB.
