Linda's new steed.

Linda just got a new bike, we have been buying parts for a couple months now, and have finally got everything we need. Last week we picked up the frame at Bike Masters, and I have spending evenings this week building it up. It is a Niner SIR nine. 853 steel EBB frame that can run geared or single. The parts are as follows: Easton EA 70 bar, lx shifters/brake levers, Oury grips, 09 Reba fork, Thomson post, WTB rocket v saddle, xt derailleurs, Race Face evolve crank set, Sram 970 cassette, and Sram 970 chain. We had Dan at bike masters build up a pair of Dt Swiss wheels with xt hubs (Dan builds awesome wheels). all in all it weighs @ 28 pounds.

looks pretty sweet.

Buying all the parts seperate made it less expensive? by how much?

And please tell me how it can run geared OR single speed. I don't see any horizontal drop outs, nor do I see an excentric hub?

or do I just not know what I'm looking for?

it does have a eccentric bottom bracket rg. Buying all the parts individual makes it more expensive, but you get to choose each part, and makes it seems more of a custom fit.
