SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES...SHOULD BEGIN TO OVERSPREAD THE WATCH AREA FRIDAY MORNING AND LAST THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY EVENING BEFORE TAPERING TO FLURRIES LATER FRIDAY EVENING. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS A LARGE PORTION OF THE WATCH AREA...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. IN ADDITION...TO THE SNOW...NORTHEAST WINDS OF 15 TO 30 MPH WOULD CAUSE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW RESULTING IN REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
As I was heading out for my ride yesterday, i hooked up with another rider @ 180th and F. It just so happens that he lives in my neighborhood and rides a lot. He said that he mostly rides in the morning. I snapped this pic as he sprinted away from me.
We rode together. He ran into a bit of trouble at mile 9, his rear tire lost air. I went to get my pump, but did not have it. I had a patch kit, a tube, a tire lever, but no pump! I'm glad that I didn't get a flat.
He had a CO2 style pump and added air. We rode a few more miles but being that he (Jim) wasn't sure of his tire we headed back.
I got in 14 miles. My goal was 15 - 20, but I was happy with the results. I saw a few other cyclists out. It was a great day.
As for the KING's comment. 43 miles. WOW. Where did you guys ride? Dmars any pics of your ride?
