weekend

Even though we had a busy weekend - I was still able to log a few 'skinny' miles yesterday afternoon. About 10 to be exact. The entire trail around Zorinsky is completely passable. There is still some water on the trail under the bridge, but it only takes up 1/3 of the sidewalk.

While cruising across the dam, I saw this guy buzzing around. All he had was a parachute and a big ass propeller strapped to his back. I honestly think that I'd do this. If you motor stops, just float to the ground.

He was doing it over the lake. My guess, motor stops, he sinks as he'd be unable to get that propeller backpack off.

I'm home with a sick kid today. Going to conserve fuel and walk to the grocery store with him if he's feeling ok.

Lunch rides this week are going to be WET! Swampass either way you look at. Tstorms on Tues; 95 and humid on Thursday.

got lunch plans?

Well I've formulated a plan. What? Well, I plan to ride over the lunch hour the next two days. (Friday is a big Employee BBQ @ the office, so that's out!)

The word on the street is that TRANQ is totally DRY (well except for the usual wet spots). So lunch laps are on order. Sweet Singletrack tastes yummy.

The weather man might throw a wrench into it, but I'm going to ride if I can.

12:15 p.m. anyone?

Tuesday Lunch Ride

Wild weather at my house this weekend. I lost 1 Japanese Maple tree. It snapped because my neighbor's DELUXE Glider/Swing came over my Wood Privacy fence, flew threw my yard and landed on it. The swing was in the neighbor's yard behind me.

He also lost a BIG 10yr old Ash Tree, and 1/2 of his Pear tree.

Tuesday lunch ride with Ted will be my first dirt since Platte! Ouch.

My Friday is sweet, how's yours?

I met up with this guy for a power lunch!:

Now, don't let his cool appearance fool you. He's one fast mofo! Have you ever ridden with a guy who's bike broke, and he used it as an excuse to go home, or go slow. Not this Guy! His front fork was SHOT - looked to me as though it was a pogo stick. He still hammered! SS no less.

I caught him once... But that was because he had a phone call!

It was 77 degrees and dusty. We had fun and added a few base miles. Thanks SausageKing!

I can drink a few extra beers tonight and not feel bad as I've already burned the calories!
