Hooked up with Dave and Linda for a great ride down at TP.  The place was packed and the trail was in pretty good shape.  There was only a few wet spots, I can't believe that the trail was in that good of condition after the winter we had. Now have to wait for the snow to melt again...

Met up with Paul for a nice ride North and West of town.  The conditions were perfect. Rode up to the reserve  base  off hwy 31 and checked out the antennas. We took Ida back and rode a little section of  gravel.  It wasn't as wet as I thought  it would be.  The snow is melting fast,  spring is just around the corner...

Met up with the crew on Sunday for a ride down to Zorinski on the West Pap trail.  Some of the trail was cleared and some was not.  It was fun ridding on the snow packed trail, technical riding in a way.  Some of the bridge underpasses were real icy and made it real interesting. My rear derailleur shifter broke and the front one froze up on the way back..... Had a great ride.  Lets do it again.

Guys, I need to make a decision today. Do i buy this TREK bike; its a 2009 model and they are selling it for 600 off retail.I'd have to pay an additional $70 to have it shipped to Omaha from the St. Louis trek store.What say you? Taught my dog a new trick, I guess you could call this mushing. Whatever it is scout loves it. He is fast, I clocked him at 25 mph (Downhill)by my bike cpu. This should come in handy on my 4 th or 5 th lap of the marathons this year.

Not for me, for the bike. I am still a Clydesdale (over 200 lbs), but the bike doesn't have to be. Bought some shiny bits for my bike, I dropped about 1 1/2 pounds off it. I cant wait to ride it and see if I can tell the difference.

Made it out for an early afternoon ride around the hood. I found some sections of trails not plowed thru Standing bear lake. They were fun riding on. Wish I could have made the group ride downtown. Sounds like you guys ran into some snowy trails too, anyway I am happy I got some time on the bike outdoors. Sure beats the trainer..............................................................

Today marked the day that i brought in the skinny bike, changed tires and hooked it to the trainer.I managed about 40 mins and finished with over 11 miles. My HR monitor was wacky as it said I only burned 45 calories. At any rate its nice to have the bike inside and ready to go.Should I break out the trainer log again? Large group out for the ride last night. It was a great night for a ride, the temps were just right. It was cool watch all the lights weaving up down and through the single track. Well we decied to go ahead and see what the trial was like. It has been real dry so what little rain probably wouldnt affect the trail. We were right, the trail was in good shape except for a couple of greasy corrners. Tires packed up a little , but did not do any damage to the trail. I thought is was a great night for a ride. Brian and I went over to Pauls for a cold one after the ride.

After the ride the other night we were talking about bike wheels and maintenance . I started to think about it and realized that I haven't repacked the bearings in my road bike since I bought it. So yesterday I completed the task and every thing seemed to turn smooth. I enjoy doing maintenance when ever possible on my bike.Don't drop one of these, they like to bounce around and hide from you.

Well the rain\snow did hold off last night for the ride. Rode a couple laps with Brian, Dan, Dale, and Paul. I thought it would be a lot colder with the north wind but it ended being pretty nice. After the ride Brian treated us with some Fat Tire, it tasted great. ( Thanks again Brian)..

Hooked up with RG and participated in the Spooks on spokes adventure. We only rode for a couple hours and hit a few check points. You really need to know your way around that part of Omaha, and of course need to know how to read the clue map correctly. We did end up getting turned around a few times. I would have liked to made it to all the check points if I had the time. Maybe next year.

Went on the Monday Night ride again. Had a great time riding in the dark. I love riding in a group that stops and waits for everybody to catch up. Hooked up with the MNR an rode a lap in a half. It was a great night for night riding. I thought the temps were perfect. Found out that it was Paul's first time riding single track in the dark. I ventured out on Sunday on one of Nebraska's busiest roads. F st to 204th. I planned on staying on 204th until I got to the interstate, but the shoulder ended right before Gretna and I wasn't too confident carrying on. I turned back and enjoyed the hills before making it home. Road 1 hour; ~15 hilly miles.

Hey team Gibson where were you guys!! The TTT race was a lot fun, great turn out, and a couple of surprises. First my race, I raced the marathon completed 4 laps (which was my goal) in a time of 3:22. My sis was kicking tail on the single speed. Linda won the female marathon category, she did 4 laps also in a time just under 3 hours, (I am thinking of adding weight to her bike for the next race).

The Monday night ride was great, I think this was the biggest group yet. The ride was at a nice pace with several regroups. And of course after the ride we stopped over at Paul's to have a cold one. O ya there was a trail day at TP tonight and I believe we got the whole thing mowed so get out and ride the freshly cut trail..

I've been given clearance to ride on Sunday. Is anyone interested in joining me? If its wet, skinny tires for 25 miles; if dry: dirt for a couple of laps.I'm thinking Tranq as it would maximize my ride time, but I'm pretty open to be honest. Either way Sunday looks to be a hot one so getting out early may be the best bet.

went for a ride tonight, rode with Greg for a lap. Then, after Greg left, I met up with this guy on the north side of the creek trail (where the water crosses the trail). I stopped and we just looked at each other for about a minute and a half. I was no more than 2 feet away. well I did my best to represent the run of the mill, second rate 35 to 45 yr old cat 3 guy. I came in 9 th out of 15 th. There was a nice sized group for the ride last night, I think at one time there was eight of us. The trail was fast and dusty, some of the turns were real powdery and would sometimes feel like you were going to slide out and crash. On the way back home Marc and I stopped over at Paul's for a cold one or two. They sure tasted good.. (thanks Paul)

Raced swanson today, it was a great turn out, and a beautiful day. I was glad to see Rob there. We only did one lap, so It ended up being a sprint the whole way, and I dont sprint well. It was a good race, but I was very disappointed that cat 3 only did 1 lap, and that they started the marathoners before us so we had to fight past a couple of them. Well the trail day was a great success. I think around twenty people showed up to do some work. We split up into two groups to tackle the projects. I was in the hole digging group. We buried a tube under the trail to help with erosion. The work goes fast when you have a bunch of people to help. The trail in now open so you can do your hot lunch laps..

Hooked up with Mars for a ride around the hood. I like riding a SS on the road, it makes things interesting. The only thing bad about it is that you can't shift into a higher gear on the downhills or the flats. You just spin away enjoying the fresh air.
